The latest CDA Cares volunteer dental event provided more than $1.9 million in charitable dental services to nearly 2,100 people from October 2-3 in Fresno, CA.
Hosted by the California Dental Association Foundation and California Dental Association (CDA), the CDA Cares program provides dental services at no charge to Californians who experience barriers to care, according to the organizations.
Additionally, these events educate the public and policymakers about the importance of good oral health and the need for an adequately funded dental safety net.
"Being able to impact the lives of more than 2,000 people during one event is just incredible," stated CDA President Walt Weber, DDS, in a release.
CDA Cares Fresno received support from sponsors, including Henry Schein Cares Foundation, Carestream Dental, and others.
