Pulpdent's Activa bioactive restorative is comparable to flowable composite resins based on a study conducted at the University of Tennessee, Memphis, the company announced.
The researchers found that Activa was comparable to Teric EvoFlow and Beautifil Flow Plus in a toothbrush abrasion study. The results showed that Activa held steady with both abrasive and nonabrasive toothpaste.
Activa is a restorative with a bioactive resin matrix, a shock-absorbing resin component, and bioactive glass fillers. It includes a patented synthetic rubber molecule in the matrix to help absorb stress and mimic the properties of dentin.
The product comes in 5-mL double-barrel automix syringes and is available in A1, A2, A3, and A3.5 shades. To learn more, visit www.activabioactive.com.
