Coltene has added to its endodontics product line with the CanalPro apex locator.
The CanalPro apex locator with rechargeable battery includes a color display with animated root canal, lip clip, file clip, power supply, and test probe. The device will notify the user when an endodontic file reaches the apical foramen, or the user can set a predetermined position at the required distance from the apex, according to the company.
Other features include audio feedback with volume control, built-in self-test for a fast function control, auto-off, and a two-year warranty. The device enables the clinician to obtain correct results in canals with different conditions.
