Kerr's SonicFill gets Pride award

Kerr's SonicFill bulk fill composite system has received the Pride Institute's Best of Class Technology Award for the third year in a row, the company announced.

The SonicFill system has been purchased by more than 12,000 U.S. dentists, who have used it to place more than 4 million restorations, according to Kerr.

Lou Shuman, DMD, president of the Pride Institute, stated in a release that his organization seeks out "products and technologies that truly raise the bar."

James Lobsenz, senior product manager for Kerr, said the recognition spurs his company forward.

"Being recognized as a best in class product by the thought leaders of our industry further motivates us to continue producing game-changing technologies moving forward," Kerr stated in the release.

The selections for 2013 were made by the Pride Leadership Panel, including Drs. Lou Shuman; John Flucke, DDS; Paul Feuerstein, DMD; Parag Kachalia, DDS; Marty Jablow, DMD; Larry Emmott, DDS; and Titus Schleyer, DMD, PhD, MBA.
