DenMat has signed a purchase agreement to acquire all outstanding stock of PeriOptix, a provider of magnification and illumination technologies for dental and medical professionals.
Details of the acquisition were not disclosed. The parties expect the deal to close in the next few days pending fulfillment of routine closing conditions.
Since its founding in 1999, PeriOptix has introduced a number of innovations, including a unique modular frame system for loupes, the first portable LED light source, and a patented locking mechanism designed to simplify the adjustment of flip-up style loupes, the companies noted in a press release.
PeriOptix's products include the Solaris LED headline, Air-X superlight frame system designed to be worn over existing eyewear, MicroLine "through-the-lens" loupes, the Panoramic and Hogie flip-up lines, and the Adivista lightweight loupes featuring Adidas sport frames.
Both companies are located in Southern California.
