NovaBone Products has opened a new dedicated research and development facility in Gainesville, FL. NovaBone develops bone graft substitutes based on advancements in biomedical engineering that meet the specialized needs of orthopedic and dental surgeons, according to the company.
The new 3,500-sq-ft facility provides the platform for NovaBone Products to implement its product development strategy and was completed in conjunction with the recent appointment of Gregory Pomrink as vice president of research and development. Prior to joining NovaBone Products, Pomrink worked at Orthovita, Dentsply, and Integra LifeSciences.
NovaBone is a producer and marketer of bioactive synthetic bone graft substitutes and a pioneer of silicon and calcium ion controlled-release products that stimulate and accelerate the regeneration of cortical and cancellous bone.
