Sybron Dental Specialties and Implant Direct International have entered into a definitive purchase agreement to combine their implant and abutment businesses into a single operation to be named Implant Direct Sybron.
The combined business will be led by Gerald Niznick, president and founder of Implant Direct, the companies announced.
The acquisition of a majority interest of Implant Direct is subject to the receipt of regulatory approvals and is expected to be completed during the fourth quarter of 2010.
