J. Morita USA has discontinued the Rotary Master, an electric low-speed handpiece. The decision was made as a result of the company's desire to focus resources on equipment developed by its parent company, J. Morita Manufacturing, according to a press release.
The change takes effect immediately, as inventory supplies have been depleted.
"We carefully assessed the impact of Rotary Master sales in North America and concluded this is a positive step that will allow us to focus our current efforts in the air-driven market," said Steven White, senior vice president of sales and marketing, in the release.
This decision does not impact J. Morita's commitment to the handpiece market, the company noted. J. Morita will continue to invest heavily in the expansion and research and development of its current handpieces, including the TwinPower Turbine and Air Torx.
