Ivoclar Vivadent launches new bond and composite products

Ivoclar Vivadent has introduced two new bond and composite products.

Monobond Plus is a universal single-component primer for all indirect restorative materials. The combination of three different functional groups -- silane methacrylate, phosphoric methacrylate, and sulfide methacrylate -- ensures that a strong and durable bond to any dental restorative material will be established, according to the company.

As a result, with Monobond Plus, dentists only need one primer for all restorative materials, including metal, metal-ceramic, all-ceramic, zirconia, and composites. Clinicians will appreciate the benefits of one simple 60-second application procedure for all materials and no special storage requirements, Ivoclar said.

Multilink Implant is an adhesive luting composite specifically designed for the placement of fixed, implant-retained restorations. Multilink Implant is a self-curing, two-component cement with a light-cure option that permanently bonds indirect restorations made of glass-ceramic, oxide ceramic metal, and metal-ceramic to implant abutments.

Compared to glass-ionomer and conventional cements, Multilink Implant offers low solubility and high mechanical strength establishing a more durable bond between the restoration and the abutment, according to Ivoclar. When used in combination with Monobond Plus universal primer, Multilink Implant provides high-level, adhesive bond strengths to all restorative and abutment materials, the company said.
