The ADA will provide a free webinar on November 10 at 6 p.m. ET on the topic of holding a Give Kids A Smile event during COVID-19.
"During these increasingly uncertain times the ADA Give Kids A Smile (GKAS) program remains committed to providing resources to local program coordinators and volunteers who are considering or planning a GKAS event that will provide oral health education and dental services to underserved children in their communities," the webinar description states.
"This webinar will address supportive resources to help programs plan and conduct a safe, effective event," it continues. "We will highlight creative ideas for alternative event options, remote education resources, GKAS promising practices, and liability and risk management considerations."
Henry Schein has been the exclusive professional products sponsor for GKAS since the ADA launched the program nationally in 2003. The company estimates that it and its supplier partners have donated more than $16 million in oral healthcare products used to provide free oral health services for nearly 6 million children.
