Univ. of the Pacific golf classic raises $60K for children's clinic

The 16th annual University of the Pacific (UOP) Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry Kids in the Klinic Golf Classic, held June 24 at the Olympic Club in San Francisco, raised nearly $60,000.

The event helped the school's Kids in the Klinic Endowment reach a milestone goal of raising $2 million to support care for children throughout Northern California.

The endowment is focused on dental care and oral health education for disadvantaged children and families. Money raised at the event will directly support care for children in need through services provided at UOP's Hutto-Patterson Pediatric Dentistry Clinic.

Alumni, students, faculty, staff, friends, and members of the dental profession and wider community participated. Participants played an 18-hole round of golf, attended a cocktail hour and silent auction, followed by dinner and a live auction.

Sponsors of this year's event included Align Technology, Delta Dental, KaVo Kerr Group, Mancuso Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at Bittner Dental, Patterson Dental, Rainbow Dental Laboratory, and Rouleau Orthodontics.
