OHA launches dental sealant campaign for at-risk kids

Oral Health America (OHA) has launched the Seal Two Million Campaign, designed to provide 2 million dental sealants to more than 500,000 at-risk children by 2020, the organization announced.

OHA will ask dental companies and dental professionals to support the campaign at the upcoming Greater New York Dental Meeting.

The November 29 event will recognize OHA's Smiles Across America program grantees New York University College of Dentistry (Amr Moursi, DDS) and Smart Smiles of Pennsylvania (Cheryl Janssen, director), who provide needed dental services to low-income and underserved children and families.

OHA's Smiles Across America program supports services, including dental sealants, for 310,000 children in 27 states each year.

Companies that have donated over a million dental sealants to OHA this decade include Dentsply International, 3M ESPE, Pulpdent, Harry J. Bosworth, and Ivoclar Vivadent.
