Sarrell Dental, a nonprofit provider of pediatric dental care in underserved communities, has been named the statewide winner of the Alabama Head Start Association Corporate Award. The award recognizes partners of the association that have gone above and beyond in service to the underprivileged.
Sarrell Dental was formed five years ago in response to the critical unmet need for affordable quality dental care in Alabama, the company noted in a press release.
"Sarrell Dental have provided value to the state by not only providing a dental home to our children and families, but also in educating them about the importance of proper dental care," said Connie Thomas, Cheaha Regional Head Start and Early Head Start family service coordinator. "They have always been there for the organization and have stepped up to the plate to see these children covered by Medicaid when nobody else would."
