SmileDirectClub has partnered with Michigan-based dental service organization (DSO) Unified Smiles to offer the company's signature invisible aligner treatment at Unified Smiles-affiliated practices.
The partnership gives patients at Unified Smile's affiliated dental practices the option to begin telehealth orthodontic treatment at a dental office. The offering will bring new patients into the DSO, according to Kevin Burniston, Unified Smiles vice president of sales.
The partnership extends the SmileDirectClub Partner Network to more than 1,000 practices in the U.S. The network was designed to expand SmileDirectClub's model beyond direct-to-consumer kits and retail SmileShops and into dental chairs.
