When one of your staff members is out sick or on vacation, how does your office respond? Do your team members have the training needed for when they are asked to fill in? As practice management consultant Sally McKenzie writes, if your team is properly trained, it will save you time, money, and frustration down the road.

I'd like to again congratulate the winners of our 2015 Dental Excellence Awards, including Ms. McKenzie (see above). I'd also like to thank the hundreds of members who took the time to participate in the process. The awards will be presented in Chicago at the Midwinter Meeting.

Last week, many of you visited the beta version of Practice SnapShot, an online tool that calculates a financial estimate of the value of your practice. Thank you. If you haven't yet, click here. We'd love to get your feedback, so let us know what you think and how we can improve it.
