Mass. agency to oversee standalone dental plans

The Health Connector program in Massachusetts is set to make standalone dental plans available for kids and adults in 2014 as part of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, the Associated Press reported.

Participating insurers are required to meet state and federal guidelines in order to get a seal of approval from the Health Connector.

The Health Connector is an independent state agency that helps Massachusetts residents find healthcare coverage.
