DentaQuest has again topped J.D. Power's annual consumer survey of dental insurers.
With 814 out of a possible 1,000 points, DentaQuest scored the highest on the 2017 Dental Plan Satisfaction Report. The company scored well in cost and communication areas, according to J.D. Power.
The results for 2017 were similar to those of 2016, with DentaQuest leading the list, followed by Aetna Dental (782 points), UnitedHealthcare Dental (776 points), and MetLife Dental (763 points) with Guardian Access Dental/Premier Access (729 points) coming in lowest.
Overall satisfaction among dental plan members fell slightly to 770 from 2016's 774 score. J.D. Power calculates customer satisfaction based on five factors: coverage, cost, communications, customer service, and reimbursement.
