A California congresswoman has introduced a new bill that would expand Medicare to include dental care.
The Seniors Have Eyes, Ears and Teeth Act, HR 508, would expand Medicare to include coverage for dental care, hearing services, vision exam, and glasses, among others. It was introduced on January 12 by Rep. Lucille Roybal-Allard (D-CA).
The bill was cosponsored by more than 120 other legislators, according to a statement from Roybal-Allard's office. Bills introduced in 2015 and 2016 with the same goals were not enacted.
