Delta Dental of Tennessee announced that three Tennessee organizations have recognized it for its philanthropy.
The Memphis Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals named Delta Dental of Tennessee the Outstanding Corporation during its Crystal Awards ceremony on November 10. Also, on November 12, the Nashville Business Journal awarded Delta Dental the 2015 Corporate Giving Award.
Finally, Philip Wenk, DDS, president and CEO of Delta Dental of Tennessee, recently won the Tennessee Primary Care Association's Caryl E. Carpenter Excellence in Community Support Award for his support of community health center programs.
"It's an honor to be recognized across the state for our good works," Dr. Wenk said in a release. "Taking care of Tennesseans, especially those most in need, is part of our mission -- and something our employees take very seriously. We understand and appreciate the importance of giving back to the areas we serve."
