Missouri lawmakers may restore dental coverage for adult Medicaid recipients. The state Senate Appropriations Committee has agreed to include $48 million in federal and state money in the 2015 Medicaid budget to pay for adult dental care, according to an Associated Press story.
State legislators eliminated adult dental Medicaid coverage under a 2005 law, which included other program cuts.
The proposal could restore Medicaid dental benefits to more than 300,000 adults in the state. Children are already covered in the state's Medicaid program.
