U.S. DOD renews dental program with United Concordia

United Concordia has been awarded a five-year, $728 million contract by the U.S. Department of Defense (DOD) to continue administration of the Active Duty Dental Program (ADDP).

The program, like civilian group dental plans, covers diagnostic, preventive, and restorative services. It also includes comprehensive dental specialty care coverage.

The new contract, which will most likely take effect in the summer of 2014, provides dental benefits for 1.4 million eligible active duty service members of the Uniformed Services. The ADDP business is directly supported by nearly 60 United Concordia employees in Harrisburg and across the U.S.

Active duty service members may find more information at www.addp-ucci.com, or www.tricare.osd.mil
