2 more companies join Dentrix Developer program

Broadview Networks and DEXIS have joined Henry Schein's Dentrix Developer Program.

Broadview will develop and market OfficeSuite Dental, a cloud-based communications solution that will be integrated with Henry Schein's Dentrix G5 practice management software, according to the companies.

OfficeSuite Dental will be designed to enhance patient satisfaction while increasing employee productivity and operational efficiency. Communications with patients will combine state-of-the-art phone system features with automated patient database information. Incoming calls from patients will trigger an automatic pop-up display of Dentrix patient notes before a call is answered.

The new Broadview offering will include more than 40 features, a choice of IP phones, a Web portal, unlimited local and long distance calling, and Internet access as a monthly billed service. An additional "softphone" option allows users to receive and make calls as if they were in their office from any computer with an Internet connection, access voicemail through Android and iPhone clients, receive calls anywhere with mobile twinning, and make changes in real-time using a mobile-optimized website.

For DEXIS, membership in the Dentrix Developer Program allows the company to provide products that are Dentrix G5-connected, the company noted. These products will be available in the new Dentrix MarketPlace, an online portal that provides a central location for users to easily review and select technologies that are associated with their Dentrix program and which enhance their practices.
