DentalPlans.com has teamed up with HolaDoctor to offer resources for Hispanics looking for affordable alternatives to dental insurance or dentists participating in discount dental plans.
The relationship will allow HolaDoctor's Spanish-language visitors to access more than 30 leading discount dental plans from DentalPlans.com by ZIP code and more than 100,000 participating dentists across the U.S.
In addition, a dedicated Web page, nationwide search tool, and dental health articles will be available at holadoctor.com/es/planes-dentales, while messages will be communicated through HolaDoctor's Facebook and Twitter pages.
According to the Hispanic Dental Association (HDA), the percentage of children who have never visited a dentist is highest among Hispanic children. In addition, Hispanics have had the lowest levels of dental visits in the U.S. Some experts believe that a lack of awareness of available oral health services and knowledge, as well as language barriers, have been major obstacles to dental care and treatment for Hispanic individuals and families.
Recently, DentalPlans.com relaunched the Spanish-language version of its full-service discount dental plan website at PlanesDentales.com. The company also employs several Spanish-speaking associates to help Hispanic individuals and families find a plan that fits their needs. Select plans, such as Sonrisas Plan Dental, go a step further by aligning Hispanics with Spanish-speaking dentists.
