Great Expressions launches 'no-cost' dental insurance

Great Expressions Dental Centers introduced the Smile Protection Employee Dental Benefits Program for companies that have not been able to afford dental coverage for their employees due to rising costs, the company announced.

The Smile Protection Employee Dental Benefits Program is free to both companies and their employees. Companies enroll and receive customized membership cards and detailed brochures to hand out to all employees. Employees are covered for one year and save 35% off basic dental and 30% off major and specialty care, including orthodontics. Each employee also receives a free annual exam and x-ray with their membership.

There are no contracts, fees, or long-term obligations; no rosters to maintain; no payroll deductions; and no membership changes. To enroll, the decision-maker at any company with five or more employees can go to GetSmileProtection.com. Employees manage their free personal enrollment at their own self-service Smile Protection website. Employees can also cover their immediate family members without any additional cost.

"We heard from many small and medium-sized businesses that they just can't afford the cost of dental insurance in today's economy," said Michael Galperin, vice president of marketing. "Yet they want to offer their employee base, whether full or part time, dental coverage to preserve their dental health. So we created the Smile Protection Employee Dental Benefits Program to fill this need in the business community."

This program is available in all seven states where Great Expressions Dental Centers has offices and is valid at 151 affiliated dental offices.
