The Capita Group has acquired the National Dental Plan (NDP) group of companies for a cash consideration of 30 million pounds ($46.4 million U.S.) on a cash-free, debt-free basis, the company announced.
NDP is one of the largest providers of corporate dental plans in the U.K. The company designs, distributes, arranges underwriting for, and administers dental insurance policies to more than 300 clients, representing 120,000 underlying insured members. Customers include Lloyds Banking Group, HSBC, and BT.
NDP made a consolidated operating profit for its financial year to March 31, 2010, of 4.1 million pounds on turnover of 13.4 million pounds. The company has approximately 20 employees, all based in London.
