First Rehab Life has introduced new dental group insurance in New York, Connecticut, and Michigan. The policy will be available in additional states by the end of 2010, the company announced.
The policy features 10 plan designs, all available as noncontributory (employer-paid), contributory, or voluntary plans. Groups of two to 49 participating employees have simple sheet rates and can get quotes online.
First Rehab Life has partnered with DenteMax -- which has 108,000 participating dentist access points across the U.S. -- to provide a broad selection of dentists in most areas. Although employees can visit any dentist under this policy, choosing a network dentist usually means that they pay less out of their own pocket, the company said.
First Rehab Life has developed an intuitive online quoting system for this product that enables producers to compare plan options that fit their clients' specific criteria, compare rates, and generate quote presentations.
The new dental policy is the first phase of a new system that ties together a paperless workflow from quote to policy generation, according to Dino Lappas, chief operating officer for First Rehab Life. The next phase will roll out in a few weeks, he said.
