Virginia has become the ninth U.S. state to ban fee capping of uncovered dental procedures by insurance companies, according to an ADA News article.
On April 13, Virginia Gov. Bob McDonnell signed a bill disallowing insurance companies to determine fees for procedures for which they provide no benefits.
The legislation is the result of two bills introduced by the Virginia Dental Association earlier this year. Nine other states are also considering enacting similar legislation, according to the story.
