Ameritas expands network

Ameritas Group has added more than 22,000 dental offices to its dental network in the U.S., bringing the total network size to more than 130,000 providers, the company said.

Members insured under an Ameritas preferred provider organization (PPO) plan can seek care from any dentist they choose, but may benefit from increased out-of-pocket savings when they visit a dentist in the network.

"This expansion adds value to the PPO products in our portfolio," said Karen Gustin, senior vice president of group marketing, managed care, and national accounts for Ameritas. "Many of our insured members will have more choices when selecting a PPO dentist within a particular area, and we'll have PPO providers in new areas of the country. A larger geographic reach makes our products more attractive to more employers, especially those with multiple locations."
