Comfort Dental fees don't rise for 5th straight year

Most health and dental care costs are rising, but Colorado-based Comfort Dental will hold its fees steady without an increase for the fifth consecutive year, the practice announced.

For people without insurance, Comfort Dental offers its own dental plans. The Gold, Silver, and Diamond Plans have approximately 50,000 members and offer discounts on various dental services.

Fees for new patients are $19, which includes exam and x-rays, and braces for kids are $119 per month and $129 per month for adults with Comfort Dental's Gold Plan. When compared to published rates by the Colorado Dental Association, these fees are about 50% of what other Colorado dentists charge, according to Comfort Dental.

"Our mission is to provide better access to dental care," said Neil Norton, D.D.S., vice president of Comfort Dental. "We offer lower fees because it's a better business model, and, in the end, the patient wins."

Founded in 1977, Comfort Dental is the largest Medicaid provider in Colorado and the largest dental franchise in the U.S., according to the practice. Comfort Dental has more than 60 offices and 180 partner dentists in five states, serving more than 1 million patients. Each office is independently owned by dentists.
