Ameritas has expanded its relationship with DentalXChange by releasing a new cobranded electronic claims system based on ClaimConnect, a service offered by EDI Health Group, the parent company of DentalXChange.
Ameritas now offers its dental providers an "all payor" system for claims, eligibility, electronic remittance advice and explanation of benefits (ERA/EOBs), and claim status, as well as an integrated electronic attachment system, according to the company.
Through ClaimConnect, providers may submit claim files from their practice management system, or a direct online data entry system, with online claim tracking. It can be implemented without setup fees or long-term contracts and includes unlimited training and client support.
As an added incentive for in-network providers who submit claims through ClaimConnect, Ameritas is offering a 30¢ rebate per accepted claim.
"Ameritas is making a statement to its dental providers that we value electronic data interchange and the efforts providers are making to support electronic services," said April Rimpley, vice president of group customer connections and operations for Ameritas Group, in a press release. "The ability to offer ClaimConnect to our providers brings both time and cost savings to the practice … including claims processing turnaround times of only five to seven business days on most claims, with dollar accuracy exceeding 99%."
