Delta Dental of Arizona has decided to freeze the rates of its small-employer group plans, according to a news article in the Phoenix Business Journal.
"Small employers are getting hit really hard in all different ways. We want to make sure ... we are able to help small employers provide a very important benefit," said Bernard Glossy, president and CEO of Delta Dental, in the article.
"The advantage to small businesses is the benefit of being able to budget in these uncertain times and not have to eliminate dental benefits, assuming they can still afford, in a time when many companies are eliminating the same benefits," said Dutch Baker, senior vice president of insurance broker Black, Gould & Associates.
