United Concordia has added a new feature to its Web site -- the Smile for Health Dental Health Center.
Currently the health center features brief articles on the link between oral health and heart disease, pregnancy, diabetes, and respiratory disease. It also has specialized oral care advice for seniors, infants, and teens. A Dental Health 101 section has articles on oral ailments like meth mouth, and teeth grinding.
"Good oral health is paramount to overall health," said Richard P. Klich, DMD, United Concordia's national dental director. "Our goal is to make dental health information readily available, fun and understandable, while encouraging our members to focus on their daily oral care in order to decrease their risk of dental disease and benefit their overall health."
