Dental Practice Made Simple is a video series from DrBicuspid.com and Levin Group. Tune in every Wednesday for a quick tip from Dr. Roger P. Levin to learn how to build high-powered, proven systems that lead to practice success.

Competition, regulation, insurance, and technology: Almost every aspect of dentistry has become more complex than when Dr. Roger P. Levin was actively practicing. But one thing that doesn't have to be complicated is leadership, noted Levin in the latest episode of Dental Practice Made Simple.

Levin suggested showing leadership by complimenting, recognizing, and appreciating your team members every single day. His advice holds whether you're a dentist or another critical member of the dental team.

"It sounds like a really small idea, but small ideas that are implemented consistently and continuously become really powerful," Levin said.

Taking the time to appreciate your coworkers can help make the office a place where everyone can come together, feel safe, and know their work is recognized, he said. But there's also a benefit to be looking for the good in other people.

"It's very hard to be unhappy when you're complimenting other people," Levin said.

Learn more about how to step up your appreciation game in the video below.
