Inefficient offices are breeding grounds for confusion and chaos. Practices must always look for ways to improve efficiency in every area. Those that do will decrease stress and increase revenue.

Do

For greater efficiency, make all treatment areas the same. Uniquely designed rooms may be desirable in other settings but not in a dental practice. Uniformity saves time.

Don

Don't forget to empower your team. The dental team is the best resource for reducing inefficiency and lowering stress. Encourage your team members to be proactive in examining practice systems. Everyone on the team will have valuable insights to contribute. Hold special staff meetings to review major systems, such as scheduling, case presentation, financial management, and customer service.
