Do's and don'ts for building your practice culture

Have you established your practice culture? Whether informal or formal, all practices have a code of conduct by which they work. Outlining your practice culture and periodically reminding your team of its importance provides them with clear guidelines on how you want the practice to operate on a daily basis.

Do

Set the bar high for customer service. Your customer service is being judged not only against other dental and medical practices but also retail stores, restaurants, hotels, and other places patients visit. Go out of your way to increase patient satisfaction and patients will stay active and recommend your practice to others.

Don

Don't forget to dress professionally. It's important that patients believe that your practice meets the highest professional standards, and the right wardrobe will help create that impression. By maintaining a polished appearance, the dentists and staff project an image of competence and efficiency, earning patients' trust and respect.
