Brooke Burke battling thyroid cancer

"Dancing With the Stars" co-host Brooke Burke-Charvet has shared on a ModernMom.com blog post that she has thyroid cancer.

She revealed that she had a nodule on her thyroid and now, after months of research, tests, and second opinions, the results were "not good." She is now scheduled to undergo a thyroidectomy.

"I'm going to be fine. And I feel really, really strong. Doctors say this is a good kind of cancer to have. Good cancer -- that sounds so crazy ... [but] I'm going to fight through this," she said in a video on the blog.
