The British Dental Health Foundation has announced details of the U.K.'s largest oral cancer action campaign.
Mouth Cancer Action Month takes place in November and is sponsored by Denplan, a British dental payment plan specialist. The campaign will be calling on dentists, physicians, and pharmacists to help educate members of the public about a disease that kills more people in the U.K. than testicular and cervical cancers.
More than 6,000 new cases are diagnosed annually in the U.K., and one person dies every five hours from the disease, the foundation noted.
