The kit contains one test that gives an immediate glucose reading and another that you mail to a laboratory for hemoglobin A1c analysis-- a blood glucose marker for the last ninety days. Test results can be mailed back to the patient or directly to their dentist or physician.
A finger-nick kit is used to collect the blood samples. Patients can do the test at home or at their dentists' office.
