The American Dental Hygienists' Association (ADHA) has partnered with the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) on a campaign to educate the public about the harms of smoking.
The CDC's Tips From Former Smokers 2018 campaign features a series of public service announcements in which former smokers and some nonsmokers discuss how smoking has affected their lives.
The ADHA will work with the CDC to share materials that dental hygienists can use to discuss smoking with their patients. The CDC also has a Tips From Former Smokers dental professionals web page with information about how to help patients quit smoking.
