A dental hygienist has published the new children’s book A Guy Named Peri-O, which explores the consequences of improper flossing and brushing.

Author La-Vawn Simons’ book is inspired by her desire to encourage young readers to adopt proper dental hygiene. Also, Simons has authored Cavity City, The Haunted Mouth, Tales of a Tooth, and First Name Ginger, Last Name Vitis. Her new book is available at bookstores, as well as online through Apple iTunes, Amazon, and Google Play.
