This low-viscosity gel, applied by dentists with a syringe and cannula, forms a bioadhesive crystalline matrix upon contact with moisture. The gel, which includes U.S. Food and Drug Administration-approved biocompatible ingredients, slowly releases an active peptide for sustained treatment, according to the company.
