Dental care products developer Plus Ultra has signed a distribution agreement with Patterson Dental.
Plus Ultra's line of products are made from biodegradable and compostable bamboo materials and recyclable aluminum tubes, with the goal of not contributing to the 50 million pounds of plastic toothbrush waste that end up in landfills every year, the company said.
The product line includes the bamboo toothbrush, natural gel toothpaste, biodegradable cornstarch replacement head, and floss (launching in June).
Patterson Dental's network consists of more than 100,000 independently owned dental offices whose dentists can now offer their patients more eco-conscious options, Plus Ultra said.
