Formlabs has debuted a reformulation of its Draft resin aimed at improving 3D printing throughput and efficiency for dentists and orthodontic practices. It has also unveiled Rigid 10K resin, which the company said is the stiffest material in its portfolio.

The new Draft resin prints up to four times faster than standard materials and features minimal support removal, wash, and cure times, according to the vendor. Using Draft resin, orthodontic practices can print aligner and retainer models in-house in less than 20 minutes, while dental labs can utilize Draft resin to print eight models in 90 minutes and more than 95 models a day on a Form 3BL printer, Formlabs said.
