Carestream Dental has introduced the Practice Safely portfolio, a line of personal protective equipment (PPE) and electronic services designed for the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Practice Safely e-services include virtual electronic registration forms that patients can complete at home before an appointment, online payment portals, and contactless payment terminals. The services can be added to existing practice management software, according to Carestream.
The portfolio also includes reusable and disposable face shields, autoclavable and single-use scanner tips and retractors, sheaths, bite blocks, head and chin rests, equipment covers, and computed radiography (CR) imaging plates.
The new products and services are designed to increase the efficiency of hygiene products and procedures by minimizing physical contact and protecting team members. It is part of the company's Digital Reboot program that provides resources and guidance to oral healthcare professionals amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
