Crosstex has added an amalgam separator to its product line.
The Syclone amalgam separator captures mercury-containing amalgam particles from dental offices' wastewater. The product features a cyclonic design with rapid velocity and waste capture, according to Cantel Medical, the parent company of Crosstex.
The separator was previously known as the Apavia amalgam separator. Cantel Medical acquired the filtration technology and related assets from Enpress and its subsidiary Apavia. The device will be introduced in the U.S. in the coming months, according to Cantel Medical.
