Simply Gum launches all-natural chewing gum

Simply Gum has launched an all-natural chewing gum.

Simply Gum contains six "naturally derived" ingredients, according to the company. The ingredients include the following:

• All-natural chicle
• Organic dried cane juice
• Organic vegetable glycerin
• Organic sunflower lecithin
• Organic rice flour
• All-natural flavorings

According to the company, "conventional gum brands" may contain as many as 80 synthetic ingredients under the U.S. Food and Drug Administration's (FDA) approved term of "gum base" and may include "rubber and artificial substances, including plastic and aspartame."

Simply Gum's six flavors include mint, cinnamon, fennel licorice, maple, ginger, and coffee. The gum is sold at Whole Foods, Sprouts, Williams Sonoma, among other stores.
