Planmeca and OraMetrix/suresmile announced that three Planmeca ProMax imaging units are now certified for use with the OraMetrix suresmile product.
The ProMax 3D Classic, ProMax 3D Mid, and ProMax 3D Max imaging units are the three units now certified for use with suresmile, which is designed to enable orthodontists to visualize and simulate multiple diagnostic setups and design customized archwires for patients, according to OraMetrix.
"The superior performance of Planmeca ProMax 3D imaging units makes them an excellent fit with suresmile and a valuable addition to the imaging technology of suresmile practices," stated Phil Getto, chief technology officer for OraMetrix, in a press release.
Planmeca ProMax 3D is a product family consisting of all-in-one imaging units. With up to five different imaging modalities, these products can meet all modern maxillofacial imaging needs. These units also offer the Planmeca Ultra Low Dose imaging protocol, which enables cone-beam CT imaging with a lower effective patient dose than standard 2D panoramic imaging, according to Planmeca.
