Ultradent Products announced it is the global distributor of the Uveneer direct composite veneer template system.
The Uveneer system is a user-friendly, minimally invasive template system that creates direct composite veneers with predictable shape and symmetry, minimizing the need for carving and polishing anterior restorations. The system can also be used for cosmetic mockups and shade selection, as well as for temporaries during porcelain veneer creation.
The Uveneer system works with any preferred composite and facilitates application on individual or multiple teeth, according to the company. Each template allows light to pass through to the composite for effective curing, while eliminating the oxygen inhibition layer for a hard, glossy surface. It also releases easily from cured composite resin. Each template is autoclavable and reusable, and each individual template is numbered to correspond with tooth number, size, and upper and lower arch to ensure ease of use.
The Uveneer direct composite template kit was created by Australian-based dentist Dr. Sigal Jacobson.
