Magnolia Health, a wholly owned subsidiary of Centene, announced Dental Health & Wellness as its new dental benefits manager, effective January 1. Dental Health & Wellness, one of Centene's specialized health solutions companies, is partnering with Magnolia Health to administer dental benefits for members in the Mississippi Division of Medicaid's Coordinated Access Network and Mississippi Children's Health Insurance Plan.
"Magnolia is constantly looking for ways to improve the health and wellness of Mississippians, and this new dental health plan will allow all of our members to put their best smile forward in 2015," said Dr. Jason Dees, president and CEO of Magnolia Health, in a press release. "It's important that our members receive the best preventative dental services integrated with their routine physical exams each year. This new partnership promotes positive health outcomes in a continuum of care to our patients throughout the year."
Dental Health & Wellness has established robust dental provider and specialty provider networks to ensure a smooth transition for Magnolia Health members statewide. Members whose current dental providers are not participating in the Dental Health & Wellness network may continue seeing their provider without disruption throughout the 90-day continuity of care period. Providers interested in joining the Dental Health & Wellness network can sign up here and enter code MS.
"Preventative and routine dental care is critical to maintaining a person's overall health," said Scott Laihinen, plan president and CEO of Dental Health & Wellness. "Through our partnership with Magnolia Health, we demonstrate our commitment to providing Medicaid recipients with access to quality dental services, especially children."
