DGTL has launched its network of digital-only dental labs that will stop manufacturing restorations overseas and make them in the U.S.
Restorations will be manufactured at its centers in California, Texas, and Kentucky. For the past 10 years, billions of dollars of dental work had been shuttling back and forth between the U.S. and large offshore dental labs due to the high cost of labor. The growing adoption of intraoral scanners and digital and 3D printing manufacturing have allowed the company to move the work to the U.S., according to DGTL.
